THE STORY & CRAFTSMANSHIP

Dating back centuries to the Otomí communities of Hidalgo, Mexico, Tenango embroidery is famous for its intricate, mythical depictions of local wildlife and sacred flora.

Designed in-house and brought to life by master artisan women, each piece requires dozens of hours of patient needlework. Using the traditional “blind stitch” technique (punto de zurcido), the artisans weave bright, mineral-pigmented threads over the fabric, leaving raw, unprinted cotton as the canvas.

Rather than mass-producing identical prints, no two napkins feature the exact same floral embroidery. This intentional variation celebrates the individual hand of the artisan and brings an authentic, curated feel to your table settings.
